ABA League 26th round, Sunday, 12.3.2017:
Where? ŠD Leona Štuklja, Novo mesto
When? 19:00
Story of the game: No excuses. Only new victories count for both Krka and Cibona, as they will meet on Sunday night in Novo mesto. Their goals are still possible to reach ahead of the 26th round, however to achieve them both of them have to win… and hope for favourable results from the other games.
Krka are still fiercely battling to avoid the last place in the standings at the end of the season and their only hope is a defeat of Zadar against Union Olimpija and their win at the same time against Cibona.
On the other side, Cibona need to win in order to grab the final fifth place in the standings at the end of the season… but even this would not be enough in case Igokea beat Partizan NIS.
The first time the two sides met this season, Cibona outplayed Krka with the score of 88:65 in Zagreb. This time Krka are facing no injury problems whatsoever, while Cibona head coach Damir Mulaomerović might not be able to count on Emir Sulejmanović.
Match-up in focus: The fans in Leon Štukelj hall will be able to enjoy the battle of two excellent point guards, as home sides Matic Rebec will test his skills against Scottie Reynolds of Cibona. There will be lots of room for inspiring plays this time around for sure!
Head to head in regional league: In total 8:14; In Novo mesto 5:6.
