ABA League 26th round, Sunday, 12.3.2017:
Where? Krešimir Ćosić Sports Hall, Zadar
When? 19:00
Story of the game: The game of the season will take at Višnjik, as far as the home side are concerned, as Zadar are hosting Union Olimpija and only win counts for Aramis Naglić's side on their mission to avoid the last place in the standings at the end of the season.
In case they beat Union Olimpija, they are sure to avoid the bottom, while in case of defeat they would have to hope for good news from Novo mesto, where Krka are hosting Cibona.
On the other side, Union Olimpija have different plans. They are seeking the win in order to end their season with a positive vibration and in order to finish it in the upper half of the standings.
The first time the two sides have met, Union Olimpija prevailed over Dalmatians in Tivoli with the score of 78:76.
While Olimpija are coming to Višnjik with all of their players healthy and available, Zadar will be without Marko Jurica and possibly also without Jakov Vladović and Lovro Mazalin.
Match-up in focus: The main focus will be on the battle in the paint where the main offensive contributor of the home team Ivan Marinković will have an honour to test himself against the main offensive contributor of Union Olimpija and currently the statistically most valuable player of the league Nikola Janković. It will literally be the true clash of giants.
Head to head in regional league: In total 11:18; In Zadar 8:6.
