ANGT: Mega won, Zvezda defeated

Mega Bemax are on a fine way towards their goal – to reach the top at the final tournament of the EuroLeague’s Adidas Next Generation Tournament in Istanbul. After previously beating Real Madrid, they this time outscored Žalgiris Kaunas and have a perfect record of two victories after two games played at the start of the tournament in Group B.

The Mega Bemax have made the crucial 8:2 run which turned the flow of the game their way between 3 and 2 minutes before the end of the playing time (from 61:57 to 63:65). Until then it has been anyone’s game until the end, but Mega did not allow the Lithuanian side to come in front anymore. The final score was 72:71 in favour of the junior selection of the ABA League side, for which Goga Bitadze led the way in scoring with 26 points on his record.

Crvena zvezda mts will not be able to play in the Finals of the Adidas Next Generation Tournament in Istanbul, as they have lost for the second time in the opening two games. After CSKA in the opening round, also CFBB Paris were better than Crvena zvezda mts this time. The French side took control of the game early, as they have finished the first quarter with a 16-point advantage on their record. They have afterwards easily cruised to the victory against the red and white with the final score of 77:62. For Crvena zvezda mts, Aleksa Uskoković led the way in scoring with 27 points.
