One can say that it has become a tradition for ABA League to be successfully represented by its players at one of the most prestigious events of the basketball World – the NBA Draft.

At the 2017 NBA Draft, our regional competition gave four players that were selected by the NBA clubs. They are Jonah Bolden of Crvena zvezda mts and Vlatko Čančar, Ognjen Jaramaz and Alpha Kaba of Mega Leks. This once again puts ABA League in the best place in the "rest of the World" (except the USA) by the number of players selected at the draft from a single league.

The Australian power forward spent last season in the ABA League for FMP, averaging 12.9 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1 steal per game, which was enough for him to be named the 2016/17 ABA League season Top Prospect. He was selected in the second round as the 36th pick at the draft by the Philadelphia 76ers.

Vlatko Čančar spent last season with Mega Leks, where he finished the season in the regional competition with an average of 8.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and a steal per game. Čančar was selected as the 49th overall pick by the Denver Nuggets.

Ognjen Jaramaz averaged 10.8 points, 3.6 assists, 2.7 rebounds and a steal per game for Mega Leks this season in the ABA League. He was selected as the 58th pick by the New York Knicks.

The last, but not the least, who was selected at the Draft of the ABA League players was Alpha Kaba of Mega Leks. He was picked by Atlanta Hawks as the 60th overall pick and he earned himself the honour by averaging 10.9 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game in the ABA League.
