Croatia U20 national team qualified for A Division

From the next year, Croatia U20 national team will play in the A Division of FIBA EuroBasket.

Croatia U20 national team have won a ticket for the FIBA EuroBasket A Division, as they finished at the 2nd place of the 2017 FIBA EuroBasket B Division, which was held in Oradea, Romania.

Croatia U20 squad suffered defeat in the competition finals in the match against the hosts Romania - 67:80, but they still qualified for the A Division.

The teams which have qualified for the A Division are Romania (2017 FIBA EuroBasket B Division champions), Croatia (2017 FIBA EuroBasket B Division runners-up) and Great Britain (2017 FIBA EuroBasket B Division third placed team).

As far as the 2017 FIBA EuroBasket A Division is concerned, the teams from the region failed to win any medal. Serbia U20 national team finished the competition at the 5th place, Montenegro U20 national team ended up at the 11th place, while Slovenia U20 national team got relegated to the B Division as they finished the tournament at the 14th place.
