Slovenia better than Poland in EuroBasket opener

In the opening game of the EuroBasket 2017 tournament, Slovenia were better than Poland in Helsinki in clash of the two sides in Group A.

Slovenia have started their EuroBasket 2017 journey just the way they desired, as they have knocked down their rivals of Poland for the beginning.

Igor Kokoškov’s squad have made crucial difference in the third quarter, when they went up by 21 points (72:51) in 27th minute. They have then successfully managed to stick to their advantage until the end, when the final score was 90:81 in favour of Slovenia.

For the winning side, Goran Dragić shined and led the way in scoring with 30 points on his record. Gašper Vidmar and Luka Dončić followed with 11.
