Budućnost, FMP and Mornar made ABA preseason night perfect

Three ABA League teams have stepped on courts on Friday preseason night and all of them were successful in their encounters. While Budućnost VOLI edged out German Bundesliga side Eisbären Bremerhaven, FMP outscored Horsens and Mornar were better than Sloga Kraljevo.

Budućnost VOLI achieved their first victory of this preseason, as they were a better team in their test against German side Eisbären Bremerhaven in Vizura Sport hall, Belgrade. Aleksandar Džikić’s squad have created themselves crucial advantage in the opening three quarters, when they went up by 12 and just managed to stick with their lead for the remainder of the clash. At the end, the score on the scoreboard was 77:73. Nemanja Gordić and Kyle Gibson were the most efficient when it comes to scoring, as they had 16 points apiece for the Podgorica team. In the other clach of the night, Mornar prevailed over Sloga Kraljevo on the road in Kraljevo. It has been a one-sided affair throughout the game and therefore it was not surprising that Mornar got away with a huge lead with the final score 103:74. Newcomers were once again crucial for the hosts of the forthcoming ABA Super Cup, as Derek Needham scored no less than 32 points and Uroš Luković added 15. Check out the full list of scorers HERE.

At home in FMP Sports Hall, FMP were a better team in the game against Horsens. Although the guests started the game better, taking a 7-point lead after first quarter, Vladimir Jovanović's side fought back and celebrated deservedly with the score of 75:60 in the end.
