Slovenia still perfect, victories for Montenegro and Serbia

Slovenia, Montenegro and Serbia scored wins in the 4th round of the 2017 FIBA EuroBasket group stage, while Croatia got defeated by the tournament main favorites Spain.

Another one! Slovenia is still on their fantastic winning streak at 2017 FIBA EuroBasket, as they managed to write down the 4th consecutive victory in the group stage.

This time, the Slovenian crew showed that they are much better than Iceland. The boys coached by Igor Kokoškov scored no less than 102 points and kept the perfect score at the tournament.

Team captain Goran Dragić was the top scorer with 21 points, Jaka Blažič made 15, while Klemen Prepelić added 13 points.

In the last round of the group stage Slovenia will face France on September 6.

Montenegro is back on the winning track as they beat Czech Republic by 88:75. It was a truly powerful performance of the Montenegrin team, while the connection between point guard Nikola Ivanović and center Nikola Vučević worked perfectly in this match.

Two of them scored 17 points each and were the team top scorers.

In the last round of the group stage Montenegro will face Romania n September 7.

Serbia left no chance to Great Britain in the 4th round of the 2017 FIBA EuroBasket group stage – 82:68. It was obvious from the start that Serbia is a lot better team, so this was one routine win for the reigning world vice-champions.

Bogdan Bogdanović made another amazing performance, as he had 18 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists, while Stefan Jović and Vladimir Štimac added 11 points each to the winning side.

In the last round of the group stage Serbia will face Belgium on September 7.

Croatia played a very good game against the tournament main favorite Spain, but despite making a huge effort the boys coached by Aco Petrović got defeated - 73:79.

It was a very exciting clash, which had a thrilling finish. Croatia was down by 69:70 and had the ball possession, with the game entering the last minute. However, Bogdanović, Šarić and Co. failed to score in three attempts, while on the other side Sergio Rodriguez made a long-range jumper for Spain – 69:72.

In the remaining 30 seconds, Spanish players were perfect from the free-throw line, so they stayed in front until the end.

In the last round of the group stage Croatia will face Czech Republic on September 7.
