Victories for Budućnost, Cedevita and Zvezda

On Saturday night, Budućnost VOLI, Cedevita and Crvena zvezda mts were the teams to celebrate preseason victories. Igokea and Zadar defeated.

Fans of Budućnost VOLI have every reason to be satisfied with the state of shape of their senior team, as its power was demonstrated in the opening game at the Mirza Delibašić Memorial Tournament in Sarajevo, where they have crushed Sloboda Tuzla with the score of 85:61. The crucial part was the second half, which Budućnost have won by no less than 21 points after a close first one. Danilo Nikolić was the top scorer of the Morača squad with 23 points and Vasilije Baćović scored 13. This is the second win for Budućnost VOLI in this preseason in three games. In Laktaši Sports Hall, two ABA League sides met and it were the current ABA League runners-up that have got away with the victory in the end. The final scorer of the clash was 87:77 for the guests, which made the crucial difference in the second half (40:31). Kevin Murphy was the top scorer of the winning side with 19 points, while Džanan Musa added 15. For Igokea, Desmond Washington led the way in scoring with 22 points and Vuk Radivojević added 15. This is the third win for Cedevita out of four games this preseason, while Igokea now have a 2:2 record. Check out all the scorers HERE.

Crvena zvezda mts played another friendly at home and nothing new happened – they won again. This time they have beaten Turkish side Bursa with the score of 83:70. Milko Bjelica was the most efficient, by scoring 16 points. Nemanja Dangubić was close with 15. Crvena zvezda mts are shining this preseason the way it is expected from the reigning champions. In the battle for the third place at the tournament in Jesolo, Zadar were defeated against Sixt Primorska with the score of 75:73. Crucial moments happened in the third quarter, which was won by Primorska 27:18. Preston Knowles topped the list of Zadar's scorers and Toni Jelenković followed him with 13.
