Slovenia reached the EuroBasket semi-finals
Slovenia is now officially a medal contender at the EuroBasket 2017 tournament, as they have beaten Latvia in a high-scoring thriller and secured themselves a spot in the semi-finals.

Basketball fans in Slovenia have lots to celebrate about after the quarter-final game against Latvia at EuroBasket 2017, as their national team have won a thrilling encounter against the Baltic side with the score of 103:97.
The squad, led by Igor Kokoškov was in front for the majority of the game, but Latvians managed to threaten their lead several times during the game – the last time arrived in the final minutes. But, Goran Dragić, Luka Dončić and company lasted until the end and advanced amongst the top four teams.
Dončić was the top scorer with 27 points and Dragić followed with 26.
