2017/18 ABA League Teams - Petrol Olimpija

Do not get confused with the name, this is the same Olimpija we have watched over the years in the regional championship. Only the name of the main sponsor is different. There is no more Union Olimpija, as from the next season we will call this club - Petrol Olimpija!

With the new sponsor also came the new players, but before talking about the roster let's say one important thing - Petrol Olimpija will have the same head coach as in the previous season. The club has continued its cooperation with Gašper Okorn, so this man will once again lead the Dragons.

Okorn will be able to count on several important players from the previous season, including team captain Gregor Hrovat, fans' favorite Devin Oliver, then Jan Barbarič, Dražen Bubnić and Žiga Jurček.

So far, Petrol Olimpija have signed 6 newcomers - Jan Špan, Erjon Kastrati, Bojan Radulović, Roko Badžim, Jordan Morgan and Talor Battle.

It is a very interesting group of players in which the three Americans should have the leader's role down on the court. Devin Oliver, Jordan Morgan and Talor Battle have been the team most efficient players in the preseason, and if they keep up making those numbers, then Petrol Olimpija will have a serious offensive power in the 2017/18 ABA League journey.

And be quite sure that the Dragons have set up big goals in front of the upcoming season.
