Story of the game: For three years they have been dominating the league, while now it is time for a fresh new start. With a lot of new players and with a new head coach sitting on the bench, Crvena zvezda mts are about to start the 2017/18 ABA League journey with a home game against Mornar. Despite all the changes inside the team, there is no doubt that Zvezda still have the highest possible ambitions and that they once again want to be the best in the region. Therefore, they will be well-motivated to open the new season with a victory.
On the other side, Mornar have no pressure in this match. They are aware of how difficult it is to beat Crvena zvezda mts on the road, but they are definitely not coming to Belgrade with a white flag. Mornar have built a very good team over the summer and they will try to beat anyone in every game.
Match-up in focus: Mathias Lessort (Crvena zvezda mts) has been pretty good in the preseason, while now it is time for him to make an official debut in the red & white jersey. Being a center, he will have a direct clash with one of the tallest players in the league - Uroš Luković (Mornar), who has been quite dominant in the previous season in ABA League.
