Zvezda missed a big chance, Zalgiris prevailed in Kaunas
Crvena zvezda mts got defeated by Zalgiris Kaunas on the road in the 1st round of the 2017/18 EuroLeague season.

Luck was not on their side this Friday the 13th. Crvena zvezda mts had a big chance to pull off a major upset in the opening round of the new EuroLeague season, however they eventually got beaten by Zalgiris Kaunas.
And just one shot made difference in this game. Crvena zvezda mts had the last ball-possession, they were down by 2 points, so a 3-pointer would have given them the win. Taylor Rochestie was well aware of that, so he made a nice feint and pulled up for a 3-pointer in the final seconds... The ball just hit the rim and bounced off to the court. The score remained the same, Zalgiris Kaunas - Crvena zvezda mts 78:76.
Despite this tough defeat, it must be said that the red & white crew played a very good game against a very good opponent and all of that on the away court.
In the next round, Crvena zvezda mts will play against Barceona Lassa at home.
