Game recap: Petrol Olimpija have demonstrated that they are in an excellent shape at the moment, as they have edged out FMP in the last before the last round of the regular season. The green and white of Ljubljana have been in front for the majority of the game and have deservedly celebrated a win in the end. Olimpija are now tied with FMP in the standings with 9 victories apiece and both are still counting for a spot in the upper half of the standings.

Key moments: The game was literally decided in the final moments. When Roko Badžim missed two free throws, just seconds from the end of the regular part of the game, Filip Čović went on to try to force overtime for FMP with a 3-pointer, but… his shot was blocked by Gregor Hrovat, who then went on to dunk furiously on the other end and seal the win of Petrol Olimpija.

Man of the match: Even though he missed what could have become the crucial free throws in the end, young Roko Badžim was the man of the match this time. After Petrol Olimpija’s only remaining point guard Jan Špan got injured, he stepped up and led his team towards the win. He finished the game also as team’s top scorer (21 points), while adding 3 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal to his stats, which sums up for a valuation of 27.

Can’t trick the stats: Petrol Olimpija have earned themselves this win with teamwork! They have collected 26 assists, while FMP have had only 17. This is what made the difference.
