Victories for Igokea and Zadar

In the Friday’s encounters, Igokea and Zadar were celebrating victories, as they have beaten Szolnoki Olaj and Split, respectively. Budućnost VOLI, Krka, Mornar and Petrol Olimpija were defeated.

In Belgrade, Igokea were better than Szolnoki Olaj with the final score of 81:74. The experienced Laktaši side made the crucial difference in the first half, when they prevailed 49:36 and then controlled the game’s flow until the end and a comfortable win. For Igokea, Jimmy Gavin and Sava Lešić led the way in scoring with 20 points scored apiece. Check out the game stats HERE.

Zadar faced Split for the second time this summer and grabbed their second preseason win. Squad led from the bench by Aleš Pipan won after overtime with the final score of 87:81.

Krka faced German side Mitteldeutscher in their first preseason game and suffered a close defeat at home in Novo mesto with the final score of 85:87. For Krka Dino Cinac topped the list of scorers with 17 points. Jure Balažić was the next to follow with 15. Check out the stats HERE.

Budućnost VOLI faced EWE Baskets Oldenburg in Vizura Sport Hall, Belgrade and were defeated in a high-scoring performance with the score of 99:93, after they were behind for the major part of the game. Nemanja Gordić scored 18 points for the reigning ABA League champions, while Danilo Nikolić had a good night as well with 15. Check out the stats HERE.

In Kranjska Gora, Petrol Olimpija faced Russian side Nizhny Novgorod in their second preseason game and they suffered their second defeat – this time with the score of 62:79. The Dragons led by halftime by 3 points, but then failed to put on a good performance in the second half as well. Jan Špan was the most prolific amongst the green and white scorers, as he had 19 points, while Marvin Jones had 9. Check out the stats HERE.

At the tournament in France, Mornar were defeated by Asvel with the final score of 88:68. Đorđije Pavićević’s squad were down by 12 points at halftime and did not manage to balance the game in the second part either. Marin Mornar was the most efficient at Mornar as he had 14 points.
