Successful preseason night for ABA teams

On Saturday night, six ABA League teams were on courts and Cedevita, Cibona, FMP and Igokea were victorious. Mornar and Partizan NIS defeated.

In Dom košarke Cedevita, the home side were much better than Mitteldeutscher and the final score of 87:59 says it all. Sito Alonso’s squad were dominant throughout the game and in the end deservedly celebrated their triumph. Elgin Cook was the most efficient amongst scorers with 19 points, Vitor Benite followed him with 15. Check out the stats HERE.

Cibona faced Bosco at home in Dražen Petrović hall and celebrated a comfortable 101:74 win in the end after being up by 13 points already by halftime. Filip Kraljević was dominant in the paint with 21 points, while Nik Slavica followed him with 16. Check out the stats HERE.

FMP faced Beikong and have come out victorious after being a better of the two sides throughout the major part of the game. The Belgrade squad prevailed with the final score of 88:76. Stefan Momirov was the top scorer with 18 points and Ammanuel Diressa added 12. Check out the stats HERE.

The fourth team to celebrate the win on Saturday night was Igokea, which faced the ABA League 2 side Borac of Čačak. The Laktaši side came out on top, but needed an overtime to do so. In the end the score was 93:88 in their favour. Their top scorer was Sava Lešić with 21 points. Jimmy Gavin and Trey Kell added 16 apiece. Check out the stats HERE.

Mornar suffered their third defeat at the tournament in Bourg. In the fifth-place game they faced the home side and were defeated painfully, with the score of 115:86, after the hosts were the better team in each of the four quarters. Nemanja Vranješ was the most efficient with 19 points, while Marin Mornar had 15. Check out the stats HERE.

Partizan NIS faced Cluj in their training centre and since they weren’t playing in full strength (they were missing Veličković, Aranitović and Paige), the defeat was not an upset. The final score was 75:68 in favour of the guests. Đorđe Gagić and Jock Landale topped the list of scorers with 15 points scored each. Check out the stats HERE.
