PRESEASON: Victories for Zvezda, FMP, Mornar and Olimpija

On Saturday night several ABA League sides have faced their opponents in preseason games and Crvena zvezda mts, FMP, Mornar and Petrol Olimpija were the ones to come victorious out of their clashes.

Crvena zvezda mts put on a dominant display in Belgrade, beating the reigning Basketball Champions League champions AEK by no less than 31 points (94:63). The red and white led by 11 points already at halftime and continued to dominate in the second part of the clash. Stratos Perperoglou scored 13 points and Billy Baron scored 12. FMP faced Vojvodina at home in FMP Sports Hall in Belgrade and they crushed their rivals this time, as they have celebrated with the score of 96:70 in the end. The crucial difference emerged in the second half, after FMP were up by 4 points at halftime. For the ABA League side, Dragan Apić was the most efficient with 15 points, Stefan Momirov added 14. Petrol Olimpija finished the tournament in Brussels on third place, as they have beaten Oostende in their second game at the event. Last quarter, in which the Dragons have prevailed by 9 points, was crucial on the way of the Ljubljana squad towards the win. Olimpija won 77:72 and Jan Špan dominated the court with 16 points and Mirza Begić added 11. Check out the stats HERE.

In Priština, Mornar faced Sigal and got away with a victory. In the end the final score was 93:89 in favour of the guests.

In their second game in Spain, Partizan NIS lost against Zaragoza. After the two teams were tied at the beginning of the last quarter, the Spaniards have turned the game on their side in the final ten minutes and celebrated an 87:81 win. Marcus Paige was the most efficient in Partizan NIS’ team with 25 points. Vanja Marinković had 16. Check out the stats HERE.
