Story of the game: In their first home game in the 2018/19 ABA League season Cibona will host Igokea on Monday evening. The Wolves were defeated by Crvena zvezda mts in Belgrade in the opening round of the new season, but the team played some quite good basketball in that game. Meanwhile, Cibona even got stronger, as American center Johndre Jeferson joined the squad last week, so they now have even more options down on the court. And with the help of their fans, the famous team from Zagreb hope that they will get the win on Monday.
On the other side, Igokea suffered a narrow defeat against Mega Bemax at the start of the new season, while on top of that they stayed without Orlando Johnson, as the team management decided to break the contract with the American player during the last week. Still, this Igokea's team is still very strong and they are coming to Zagreb with only one goal - To score the 1st win in the 2018/19 ABA League season.
Match-up in focus: Damir Markota (Cibona) vs. Tomislav Zubčić (Igokea). They know each other really well. Markota has a lot of experience and he should be one of the leaders of this Cibona crew. At the same time, Zubčić has already showed how much he will mean to Igokea in the ongoing season, as he was the team's best player in the opening round. They play at the same position, so it should be an interesting duel.
