BCL: Petrol Olimpija defeated by Strasbourg
At the opener of the Basketball Champions League season, Petrol Olimpija were defeated by SIG Strasbourg at home in Stožice Arena, Ljubljana.

Petrol Olimpija have not managed to start their Basketball Champions League campaign just the way they have desired, as they have suffered a defeat at home court by SIG Strasbourg, which were simply too strong this time around.
The Dragons have been battling for the win for exactly a quarter. After 10 minutes, they were in front by 2 points (21:19), but they fell behind in the second part of the game, when Strasbourg dominated and earned themselves a 12-point lead at the big break (46:34). In the second half, the green and white just did not manage to turn the game around and the two points travel to France.
The final score was 81:71 in favour of the guests. For Petrol Olimpija Blaž Mesiček led the way in scoring with 17 points, while Jan Špan added 15.
