ABA League Round 8, Saturday, 17.11.2018:

CRVENA ZVEZDA MTS - MORNAR

Where? Aleksandar Nikolić Hall, Belgrade

When? 19:00

Story of the game: In Belgrade, there is a huge game coming up, as Crvena zvezda mts will be hosting Mornar of Bar in Aleksandar Nikolić Hall. It will be a showdown of two sides, that met in the semi-finals of the last season’s ABA League and their goals this season are no different.

However, when you look at the standings, the picture is a bit different. While Crvena zvezda mts are at the very top of the standings, with an unbeaten record after seven rounds, Mornar have won only two of their seven games so far. However, even the Bar squad have reinforced their roster lately and hope to rise in the standings soon, after losing last three games in a row.

History is on Zvezda’s side, as they have won all four of their home games in the ABA League history against Mornar. Can the Bar side break the ice?

Match-up in focus: It will be fun to watch the clash of two Americans – Joe Ragland of Crvena zvezda mts and Robert Douglas Brown of Mornar. While Ragland has been the second best scorer of the red and white this season (averaging 10.6 points and 5.9 rebounds per game), Brown has only played one ABA League game for Mornar so far, but has impressed everyone already. He had no less than 25 points and 9 assists for Mornar. Can he repeat the performance against the league's leading team?

Head to head in regional league: In total 6:1; In Belgrade 4:0.
