EC: Zvezda suffer narrow defeat in Malaga

Unfortunately, Crvena zvezda mts were defeated by Unicaja Malaga in Round 2 of the 2018/19 EuroCup TOP 16 stage.
The red & whites were down by 14 at the halftime, but they made a stunning comeback in the last quarter, reducing the lead to just 1 point with less than a minute left on the game clock - 75:74. However, although Unicaja's player Sasu Salin missed a 3-point shot, his teammates made an offensive rebound and couple of moments later Jaime Fernandez made both free throws for the home team - 77:74.
Zvezda had 12 seconds to take this game into overtime, but Joe Ragland missed a 3-pointer, while in the remaining time, Unicaja's guard Brian Roberts made the final score by making 2 free throws - 79:74.
