EC: Partizan NIS beat AS Monaco on the road

Partizan NIS have defeated AS Monaco on the road in the 4th round of the 2018/19 EuroCup TOP 16 stage! The black & whites have therefore significantly increased their chances for advancing to the quarterfinals. 

Still, Partizan NIS missed a big opportunity to beat AS Monaco by more than 4 points and therefore to have a better head to head score against the French side. The Belgrade powerhouse was up by 71:65, with 22 seconds left on the game clock, but then Bandja Sy made a foul on Sergii Gladyr, who was attempting a 3-pointer. Gladyr made all of his 3 free throws and reduced the margin to 71:68.

But, that was not the end of this thriller as Partizan NIS got one more chance to increase their lead to more than 4 points. In the very last moment of this game the ball ended up in the hands of Stefan Janković, but he missed an open lay-up at the buzzer, so the score remained 71:68.

Alex Renfroe was leading the black & white troops this evening. Experienced point guard scored 20 points, while he also had 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
