Budućnost VOLI started preparations for the next season

Budućnost VOLI have started with preparations for the 2019/20 campaign. The reigning ABA League vice-champions held a press conference in Podgorica, where they stated the club’s ambitions for the upcoming season.

Gavrilo Pajović, Budućnost VOLI Sports Director:

“We have gathered here to start with preparations for the next season. The team will have trainings here in Podgorica until August 14, while after that the preparations will continue in Kolašin where we will stay until August 21. The team will then travel to Kranjska Gora and stay there from August 25 to August 30. During our stay at Kranjska Gora, we will play two firnedly games against Khimki and Nizhny Novgorod. Also, we have confirmed the participation at the tournament in Sarajevo scheduled for September 6-7. It will be a 4-team tournament and the other three participants are Cedevita Olimpija, CS Universitatea Cluj-Napoca and Gaziantep. On September 13, we will play a friendly game against Mega Bemax, while we will probably take participation at another tournament before the start of the 2019 ABA Super Cup. As far as the newcomers are concerned, Hassan Martin is coming to Podgorica on August 15, Scott Wood will join the team on August 11, while Scott Bamforth will be here on August 12."

“There have been a couple of changes since the last press conference as we have signed four new players. I am very pleased with how everything works so far in our club. I have a great communication with everyone here and every day I am seeing how big this club actually is. I am especially excited to see that the club has huge desire to make something big. ABA League seems to be stronger than ever, with every club signing high quality players each day. Still, I prefer looking only at my team. We understand that the following season will be extremely hard, but we have to keep focus on ourselves and to try building good team chemistry which is the base for everything."

Budućnost VOLI počela pripreme

Budućnost VOLI je održala konferenciju za medije povodom predstavljanja ekipe za novu sezonu.

Gavrilo Pajović, sportski direktor Budućnosti VOLI:

- Okupili smo se i zvanično. Krenuli smo sa ljekarskim pregledima. Počeće se sa treninzima, do 14. ćemo biti u Podgorici. Od 14. do 21. ćemo biti u Kolašinu, našoj staroj bazi, u hotelu Bjanka. Od 25. do 30. idemo u Kranjsku Goru gdje ćemo imati pripremne mečeve sa Himkijem i Nižnjijem. Nakon Slovenije se opet vraćamo u Podgoricu nakon čega ćemo od 6. do 7. septembra igrati memorijalni turnir u Sarajevu. U Sarajevu će učestvovati Kluž, Cedevita Olimpija i Gacijantep. Takođe, 13. septembra imamo utakmicu sa Megom. Od Mege do ABA Super Kupa očekujemo odlazak na još jedan turnir, vjerovatno u Turskoj. Hasan Martin stiže 15. avgusta, Vud 11. a Bamfort 12.

- Dogodile su se neke promjene od našeg prošlog pressa. Potpisali smo četiri igrača. Moram biti jako zadovoljan kako funkcionišemo u klubu, sa pomoćnicima, menadžerom, direktorom. Bili su mi od velike pomoći. Svakim danom vidim da sam došao u veliki klub. Organizacija, želja, volja da se napravi nešto na velikom nivou. To me raduje. Aba liga izgleda kao nikad jača. Svi se još pojačavaju. Pratimo svaki dan. Ja volim da gledam moju ekipu, da se spremimo što bolje za sezonu. Slažem se da će biti jako teško ove godine. Svi žele i vide neku šansu da uđu u plej-of. Moramo se koncentrisati samo na naš rad i ne komentarisati druge puno. Napraviti hemiju u ekipi, to je najteži posao trenera.
