EC: Budućnost VOLI and Partizan NIS victorious

In the eighth round of the EuroCup Regular Season, ABA League sides have made the 100% record. After Cedevita Olimpija have beaten Brescia a night before, Budućnost VOLI and Partizan NIS have prevailed over Arka Gdynia and Rytas Vilnius, respectively. Partizan NIS have already qualified for the Top 16.

Two rounds before the end of the EuroCup first stage, Partizan NIS have already booked their ticket for the Top 16. They have done so by beating Rytas of Vilnius at home in Štark Arena Belgrade and achieving their sixth win in eight games. The black and white of Belgrade have been a better of the two squads throughout the clash and have in the end come on top with the score of 86:81. For Partizan NIS, Rade Zagorac led the way in scoring with 17 points, while Rashawn Thomas added 16.

Budućnost VOLI have grabbed their second straight win in the EuroCup this season by absolutely outplaying Arka on the road in Gdynia, Poland. The Podgorica squad, have needed only one quarter to warm up their engines, as the score has been 18:18 after 10 minutes of the clash and then they have won the second and third quarters combined by no less than 23 points. The hunt for a win was over. In the end, Budućnost VOLI celebrated a win with the score of 78:61. For the Podgorica side, Justin Cobbs scored 17 points and Hassan Martin 14.

A night before, Cedevita Olimpija have beaten Germani Brescia Leonessa at home in Stožice Arena in Ljubljana, with the score of 72:63.
