ABA League Round 13, Sunday, 29.12.2019:

PARTIZAN NIS - KOPER PRIMORSKA

Where? Štark Arena, Belgrade

Where? 21:00

Story of the game: Two weeks ago this would be the match of the round here in ABA League. However, a lot of things have happened in the meantime. While Partizan NIS continued with good results and scored 4 wins in a row in the ABA League, Koper Primorska faced some serious problems that might put them out of the Playoffs race.

Of course, you have already heard by now that Koper Primroska stayed without their head coach Jurica Golemac and without three very important players – Marko Jagodić Kuridža, Lance Harris and Marjan Čakarun – who have all already left Koper. On top of that, Stephen Holt and Žan Mark Šiško are also leaving the club, which means that Koper Primorska will play the entire second half of the 2019/20 regular season without 5 of their best players. Simply, their situation ahead of the very important match in Belgrade is not really looking that bright.

At the same time, Partizan NIS have no problems in their ranks and the black & whites are looking to increase their winning streak in the championship. The Belgrade giant is currently sharing the top of the standings with Budućnost VOLI and Cedevita Olimpija, so every win is very important for them in the race for the 1st place.

Match-up in focus: William Mosley (Partizan NIS) vs. Ivan Marinković (Koper Primorska). Mosley has become the fans’ favorite in this season, mostly because of his outstanding defensive performances. Now, he will confront a former player of Partizan NIS - Ivan Marinković – who is the 4th best scorer of Koper Primorska in the 2019/20 ABA championship. It’s defense vs. offense… We are about to see who will win this duel.

Head to head in the regional league: In total 0:1; In Belgrade 0:0.
