Crvena zvezda mts have pulled off a stunning comeback to beat French side ASVEL on the road in one of the most exciting EuroLeague games of this season. The reigning ABA League champions were down by 19 points at the halftime, but they managed to bounce back in the 2nd half and to prevail in a thrilling ending.
Kevin Punter drained the crucial 3-pointer on 2 seconds before the end of the match to put his team in front – 83:80, while then Zvezda’s best player today Vladimir Štimac made the game-winning block, preventing the home side to tie the score at the buzzer.
Štimac led the red & whites toward this big win with 21 points, making every single FG in this match – 8/8 FG2, 1/1 FG3.
Crvena zvezda mts now have the overall score of 9-9 and they are still at the 8th place on the 2019/20 EuroLeague standings.
