Game recap: FMP defeated Koper Primorska at home court in the opening game of the 2020/21 ABA League season.

Despite having many new players in the roster, FMP squad looked very good offensively, especially in the first half in which they scored 54 points and created a double-digit lead. On the other side, Koper Primorska, who have also made numerous changes in their team roster during the summer break, tried their best to keep up with the home team, however they just weren’t able to stop FMP’s red-hot offense this evening.

Key moments: After the opening 6 minutes of this match, FMP were up by 19:2! Led by their summer signing Filip Čović and one of the best players of the previous season Stefan Đorđević, the Panthers were simply brilliant in those moments on both ends of the court. That early 19:2 run of FMP turned out to be the crucial thing in this clash as the home team haven’t had any problems staying in front in the rest of the match.

Man of the match: This summer, 32-year old power forward Sava Lešić joined FMP and he showed already at the start of the new season just how much he will mean to this team. Lešić was the game top scorer with 20 points, he also had 12 rebounds, while his overall index rating was 31.
