The World of Stats

The previous ABA League weekend was marked by the thriller ending of the derby match between Partizan NIS and Budućnost VOLI, while this game brought us several very interesting things in the ABA League World of Stats.

Having a field goal percentage of 100% in a single game is a very rare thing, while it is even rarer to see a player score 20+ points, without missing a single shot during the game. Only 5 players in the history of ABA League have done such a thing, but Danilo Nikolić (Budućnost VOLI) is the first ever player in the league history to score 20+ points, have a perfect game (field goal percentage of 100%) and on top of that to score the game-winning 3-pointer at the 2nd overtime buzzer.

In the same match, Suad Šehović (Budućnost VOLI) scored 9 points and therefore climbed up to the 13th place on the ABA League All-Time Scorers list with the total number of 2,167 points. Šehović surpassed Smiljan Pavič (2,160), while he is 30 points behind Miro Bilan (2,197) who currently holds the 12th place on the ABA League All-Time Scorers list. Also, Suad Šehović improved his position on the ABA League All-Time Rebounds list, as he now holds the 7th place with the total number of 1,006 rebounds. Šehović moved in front of Boris Savović who is now at the 8th place (1,005 rebounds).

Speaking about Budućnost VOLI players, Nikola Ivanović made 5 assists during the match in Belgrade and has therefore moved up to the 10th place on the ABA League All-Time Assists list. Ivanović now has 517 assists in his ABA League career stats and he surpassed Siniša Štemberger (513).

Ognjen Jaramaz (Partizan NIS) and Uroš Luković (Mornar) have joined the 1,000+ points club as both players have now scored more than 1,000 points in the ABA League. On top of that, Luković has also climbed up to the 11th place on the ABA League All-Time Offensive Rebounds list. Luković (290 offensive rebounds) moved in front of Alen Omić, Boris Savović and Marin Rozić who all have 284 offensive rebounds in their ABA League career stats.

Branko Lazić (Crvena zvezda mts) played his 308th game in ABA League and he now shares the 3rd place on the ABA League All-Time Games Played list with Nebojša Joksimović.

Sava Lešić (FMP) made 3 offensive rebounds in the Monday's match against Split and he is now holding the 16th place on the ABA League All-Time Offensive Rebounds list with the total number of 272 offersive rebounds. Lešić surpassed two players on this list – Marton Bader (271) and Aliaksei Lashkevich (267).

In their first home game in this season, Mornar made 32 assists, which is the 3rd best team score in the league history. Only Crvena zvezda mts (34 assists in the 2002/03 season) and Cedevita (33 assists in the 2016/17 season) had more assists in a single game. Maccabi Tel Aviv have also managed to make 32 assists in a single game, same as Mornar. The Israeli powerhouse did it twice, firstly in the 2002/03 season and then the second time in the 2011/12 season. It is also worth mentioning that Mornar had the overall team index rating of 155 in this match, which is the 3rd highest team index rating in league history. Only Crvena zvezda mts (161) and Cibona (156) had a higher team index rating in a single game.
