ABA League Round 3, Monday, 19 October 2020:

ZADAR - KRKA

Where? Krešimir Ćosić Hall, Zadar

When? 18:00

Story of the game: In the last match of Round 3, Zadar will host Krka on Monday evening.

Neither side can brag about the successful start of the new season as both Zadar and Krka are winless at the moment. Zadar lost their games against Mornar at home and against Mega Soccerbet on the road, while Krka were defeated in the match against Cedevita Olimpija on the road.

We all know good Zadar is when playing in Krešimir Ćosić Hall, but for some reason Zadar have always had problems winning the match at home court against Krka. The Greens are one of the rare teams who have a positive head-to-head score when facing Zadar on the road, while it is interesting to mention that Krka haven’t lost a single game in Zadar since 2014!

Will Zadar finally manage to lift that home-court curse after 6 years or will they once again watch Krka leaving their gym with a road win in their bags? We are about to find out the answer on Monday evening.

Match-up in focus: Zadar’s point guard Dominik Mavra used to play for Krka two years ago, which means that he will now face his former team. At the same time, Krka’s point guard Rok Stipčević started his pro career in Zadar for which he played from 2003 to 2005 and from 2006 to 2010, so he will as well face his former team. Mavra and Stipčević will guard one another as they are playing at the same position, while we will just add that they are the top scorers of their teams at the moment.

Head to head in the regional league: In total 8:16; In Zadar 4:8.
