The World of Stats: Nemanja Gordić joins the 1,000 FG Made club

Nemanja Gordić (Partizan NIS) played his 308th game in ABA League last weekend and has therefore tied with Nebojša Joksimović at the 4th place of the ABA League All-Time Games Played list. Also, Gordić made 5 field goals in the match between Partizan NIS and Cedevita Olimpija and has therefore become only the 2nd player in league history to make 1,000+ FG. Gordić has so far made exactly 1,000 FG, while the only player who has made more FG is former Cibona captain Marin Rozić (1,052 FG).
Rok Stipčević (Krka) made 3 three-pointers in the match against Cibona last weekend and has therefore reached a total number of 221 three-pointers in his ABA career stats. Stipčević has therefore moved up to the 19th place on the ABA League All-Time 3-pointers Made list (same score as Filip Krušlin), surpassing Sašo Ožbolt (219) along the way.
Nikola Ivanović (Budućnost VOLI) made 9 free throws out of 10 attempts in the match against FMP and has therefore moved up to the 20th place on the ABA League All-Time Free Throws Made list. Ivanović has so far scored a total number of 430 free throws during his ABA League career, while he surpassed 6 players on the All-Time list, including Sašo Ožbolt (422), Boris Savović (423), Vuk Radivojević (424), Marton Bader (426), Marin Rozić (426) and Bojan Krstović (429).
Filip Čović (FMP) has also improved his position on the ABA League All-Time Free Throws Made list as he now holds the 18th place with a total number of 431 free throws made. Čović surpassed Bojan Krstović (429), while now has the same score as Jure Močnik (431).
Speaking about the match between Budućnost VOLI and FMP, we should also mention Suad Šehović (Budućnost VOLI) who grabbed 4 defensive rebounds in this game and has therefore become only the 5th player in league history to make 800+ defensive rebounds. Šehović has a total number of 801 defensive rebounds in his ABA career stats, while the players in front of him on this list are Marin Rozić (1043), Todor Gečevski (934), Čedomir Vitkovac (843) and Smiljan Pavič (823).
Special Mention
On October 22, 2011, Boris Savović (Hemofarm) made 23 rebounds (19+4) in the match against Radnički Kragujevac. With those 23 rebounds, Savović tied the ABA League All-Time record in most rebounds made in one match by a single player, which was previously held only by one player – Tommy Smith (Split), who made 23 rebounds on October 4, 2003 in the match against FMP.
On October 27, 2006, Budućnost VOLI set the ABA League All-Time record in most team blocks made in one game. Led by Slavko Vraneš who made 5 blocks, Budućnost VOLI team made 12 blocks in the match against Zagreb.
