Stepanović & Simić guide Sloboda Užice toward their first ever ABA 2 win.

Sloboda Užice will always remember this November 11, 2020 as on this day they scored their first ever win in ABA League 2! Sloboda prevailed over Mladost Zemun in a thrilling game in which the Užice squad have been in the lead from start to finish.

Still, despite entering the final minute of the game with a comfortable 9-point lead – 86:77, Sloboda Užice almost spilled everything in the final moments. Mladost Zemun scored some tough shots in the final 60 seconds and they managed to reduce the gap to just 1 point – 87:86, with 15 seconds left on the game clock. Mladost Zemun team then made a quick foul on Aleksandar Ilkić who scored both free throws and increased the lead of Sloboda Užice to 89:86.

In the following play, Sloboda Užice team managed to make a foul on Mladost Zemun player Martin Igbanu, therefore not letting their opponents to take a 3-point shot and potentially tie the game. Igbanu made the first free-throw – 89:87 and missed the second one on purpose, but he entered the paint before he was allowed to and the score remained 89:87 for Sloboda Užice.

Aleksa Stepanović with 28 points and Stefan Simić with 21 points led Sloboda Užice toward this historic win.
