The World of Stats: Ivan Marinković joins the 1,000+ points club

Mornar squad set the new ABA League All-Time record for most blocks made in a single game. Mornar players made 13 blocks in the home game against Koper Primorska last weekend. The previous record was held by Budućnost VOLI squad who made 12 blocks in the match against Zagreb on October 27, 2006.

Marko Simonović (Crvena zvezda mts) made 3 three-pointers in the match against Split and has therefore moved up to the 3rd position on the ABA League All-Time 3-Pointers Made list. Simonović has made a total number of 344 three-pointers so far in his ABA League career and he surpassed Damir Rančić (343) on this list.

Nemanja Gordić (Partizan NIS) has played his 311th game in ABA League and has therefore tied with Branko Lazić at the 3rd place on the ABA League All-Time Games Played list. Also, Gordić became only the 5th player in league history to play 7,000+ minutes in the regional competition. The other four players are -  Nebojša Joksimović (8,498 minutes), Marin Rozić (8,459), Čedomir Vitkovac (7,256) and Siniša Štemberger (7,142).

Ivan Marinković (Cedevita Olimpija) made his 1,000th point in ABA League in the last-round match against Borac and he now has a total number of 1,007 points in his ABA career stats. Marinković has so far played 107 games in ABA League with several different clubs, including Crvena zvezda mts, MZT Skopje Aerodrom, Zadar, Koper Primorska and Cedevita Olimpija. He was also a member of Partizan NIS, but he appeared only once in the 12-man roster of the black & whites and he did not enter the court in that match.
