Story of the game: On Saturday night, Koper Primorska will be hosting Mega Soccerbet at home in Bonifika Arena, Koper.
It will be a clash of two young squads, that will try to prove their worth, but also a battle of two teams with different ambitions at the moment and with different positions in the ABA League standings after seven rounds.
It’s not necessary to mention, that Koper Primorska are still the only team that haven’t tasted the sweetness of the victory this season in the ABA League and they hope that they can do it now that young Belgrade squad is coming to their house.
On the other side, Mega Soccerbet own five wins after seven rounds and they are currently placed firmly in the Playoffs race and they will want to continue it at any given cost.
Koper Primorska therefore need to win in order to not be anymore the only winless squad and to improve their chances of escaping the danger zone at the bottom of the ABA League standings, while Mega Soccerbet wish to continue battling for the Playoffs positions.
Match-up in focus: There will be a very exciting match-up under both rims, as young guns Jurij Macura and Marko Simonović, who used to be teammates at Mega Soccerbet last season, will test each other’s skills. With both of them being the top rebounders of their respective squads (Macura averaging 9.1 rebunds per game and Simonović 9.6), they are also amongst the top performers of their squads in points scored per game. Macura is currently averaging 14.7 points per game, which makes him the top scorer of Koper Primorska and Simonović 16.3, which makes him second at Mega Soccerbet.
