EuroBasket Qualifiers: All wins for the ABA League countries

The national teams of the ABA League countries have had a successful Friday evening, as both three of them, that stepped on court – BiH, Croatia and Montenegro – have written down triumphs!

At the Istanbul tournament, Croatia with 6 ABA League players aboard have prevailed over the hosts Turkey, convincingly with the final score of 79:62, after they have been in front throughout the majority of the game. They have been up by 17 points after the first quarter and 21 at halftime and it soon became clear which way this game would go. In the end, Miro Bilan led the way in scoring for the Croats with 30 points and Željko Šakić had 17.

Bosnia and Herzegovina have outplayed Bulgaria in their Group H encounter after being the better of two opponents all game long. The hosts of the tournament were up by 11 points after the first quarter and by 23 at halftime and so the second part of the clash was merely a formality in which eventually BiH prevailed 88:49. For the winning side, Kenan Kamenjaš led the way in scoring with 11 points, while John Roberson added 10.

Montenegro have prevailed over Germany at the tournament in Pau, France. After a close game which could have gone either way, the squad, led by excellent Budućnost VOLI players Justin Cobbs (20 points) and Nikola Ivanović (18 points), have managed to grab a win in the exciting finish and celebrate a final 80:74 win.
