EuroBasket Qualifiers: Slovenia stronger than Ukraine

On Saturday, two ABA League countries had their national teams perform in the EuroBasket 2022 Qualifiers. And white Slovenia have prevailed over Ukraine, Serbia were defeated by Switzerland.

At home in Stožice Arena, where the EuroBasket 2022 Group F Qualifying Tournament is taking place, Slovenia, with six ABA League players on the team, have prevailed over Ukraine, convincingly, having led by by no less than 32 points already at halftime (50:18), thanks to their excellent defensive performance. In the second half, the hosts have made their defeat look decent, but they did not manage to turn things around. The final score was 84:73 in favour of Slovenia, for which Jaka Blažič of Cedevita Olimpija shined with 23 points on his record, while Jordan Morgan, a former player of the Dragons, had 13.

Serbia have been defeated by Switzerland at the tournament in Espoo, Finland after a thrilling finish and a game-winning shot by former Radnički Kragujevac player Dušan Mlađan. Serbia have been behind for the majority of the game, but in the end they have brought it into a situation, where they could have easily got away with a win. In the end, Switzerland prevailed with the score of 92:90. For Serbia Aleksa Avramović topped the list of scorers with 23 points, while Danilo Anđušić and Budućnost VOLI big man Dragan Apić had 20 points apiece.
