ABA League Round 9, Sunday, 6 December 2020:

KRKA - KOPER PRIMORSKA

Where? Leon Štukelj Hall, Novo mesto

When? 19:00

Story of the game: This ABA League weekend will end with a clash of two local rivals on Sunday evening. It’s Krka vs. Koper Primorska.

Neither team can say that they are having a successful 2020/21 journey so far. Krka are in a slightly better situation than their rivals as they have scored 2 wins out of the previous 8 games and they are currently holding the 10th place on the standings. Krka are still winless when playing at home court, but now they will have a big chance to finally score their first win in Novo mesto.

This is the big chance for Krka simply because their upcoming rivals Koper Primorska are still the only team in the league that hasn’t scored a single win so far in the 2020/21 regular season. The Tigers have played 8 games so far in the ongoing ABA campaign and they have lost all of them. Still, it is fair to say that Koper Primorska have improved their game significantly in the past couple of weeks and they even forced an overtime against 2nd placed Mega Soccerbet in the previous round.

Match-up in focus: Krka’s point guard Nejc Barič spent the previous season in Koper Primorska so he will now be facing his former team. Barič is currently the 2nd best scorer of Krka in the 2020/21 ABA campaign, while his task will be to outgun Koper Primorska’s top scorer and his former teammate Luka Vončina.

Head to head in the regional league: In total 0:2; In Novo mesto 0:1.
