Budućnost beat Zvezda and become the only undefeated team in the season
Budućnost VOLI defeated Crvena zvezda mts on the road in this week;s ABA league match of the round. The blue-and-whites have therefore become the only undefeated team in the 2020/21 ABA League regular season.

Game recap: Budućnost VOLI have triumphed in the big regional derby against Crvena zvezda mts and have therefore become the only undefeated team in the 2020/21 ABA League regular season. The blue-and-whites prevailed in a thrilling game in Belgrade, so they now have the overall score of 6-0. On the other side, Crvena zvezda mts suffered their first defeat in this season and their current overall score is 8-1.
Key moments: Budućnost VOLI were stuggling offensively in the decisive 4th quarter, but their defense brought them the win this evening in Belgrade. The visitors managed to defend their basket in crucial moments late in the 4th quarter and to keep their lead until the end.
It is also worth mentioning that Crvena zvezda mts scored their last field goal in this game on nine-and-a-half minutes before the end of the game! After that, the red-and-whites scored 8 points, all of them from the free-throw line. The home side decided not to make a foul in the final moments of the game, hoping that they might steal the ball, however that plan did not work out and Zvezda lost the game.
Man of the match: Nikola Ivanović was the top scorer of Budućnost VOLI with 20 points, while what is interesting is that he scored all of those 20 points in the first half. Thanks to him, Budućnost VOLI team gained much needed confidence early in the match, which they used later on to win the game.
Can't trick the stats: Turnovers. Although both teams had more than usual, it was Crvena zvezda mts who made some major turnovers in the final quarter. The home team eventually finished this game with 18 turnovers.
