ABA League Round 8, Tuesday, 15 December 2020:

FMP - ZADAR

Where? FMP Sports Hall, Belgrade

When? 17:00

Story of the game: ABA League continues already on Tuesday evening as FMP are about to face Zadar in postponed game of Round 8.

Both sides want to end their losing streaks. FMP lost the previous 3 games in the league against Crvena zvezda mts, Igokea and Cibona, while their current season score is 2-6. Due to the poor results at the start of the season, FMP decided to part ways with their head coach Vladimir Jovanović last weekend, which is a major change as Jovanović was coaching the first team of Panthers in the past three-and-a-half years. We are about to see what will be the team reaction in the first upcoming match, which is the Tuesday’s clash against Zadar.

On the other side, Zadar have also lost their previous 3 games in the league, against Igokea, Partizan NIS and Split. Zadar currently have the score of 1-6 and they simply have to improve their results soon in order to escape the relegation zone. The first chance to do so will be the upcoming game against FMP in Belgrade.

It is also worth mentioning that FMP have won 11 out of 12 games against Zadar in Belgrade so far in the regional league.

Match-up in focus: Stefan Đorđević is considered to be one of the most talented players in FMP team. He’s been struggling with injury problems lately, but he is now fully fit and ready to show his talent. Đorđević will now face a very good defender who was Zadar’s best player in their last game – Chinanu Onuaku. This 24-year-old center made a double-double performance last weekend with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Head to head in the regional league: In total 16:9; In Belgrade 11:1.
