ABA League Round 13, Saturday, 2 January 2020:

CRVENA ZVEZDA MTS - ZADAR

Where? Aleksandar Nikolić Hall, Belgrade

When? 17:00

Story of the game: In the opening game of the ABA League Round 13, Crvena zvezda mts will be hosting Zadar at home in Aleksandar Nikolić Sports Hall, Belgrade.

It will be a game that will give lots of answers for both sides, as both Zvezda and Zadar have a lot to fight for at the moment.

Crvena zvezda mts have suffered two defeats over the past five rounds and are heading into the game after a blowout loss against Igokea. They need a win to improve their impression and stay in the circle of best placed teams in the Playoffs race.

On the other side, Zadar have won their last game, as they have beaten FMP on the road in Belgrade, but they need a new win not only to stay on the winning track, but also due to the fact, that they have missed several games due to covid situation and need new points in order to keep away from the danger zone near the bottom of the standings.

It will be tough though, as Zvezda are not just an EuroLeague team, but the Dalmatians have also beaten Zvezda on the road in Belgrade just twice in their entire history, in 16 games that have taken place in Belgrade.

Match-up in focus: Corey Walden or Dominik Mavra? The two guards will be trying to outperform the other one and it will for sure be a delight to watch and see who prevails this time. While Walden has been averaging 9.8 points and 3.7 assists per game this season, Mavra has been putting on 13.7 points and 5.1 assists per game on average.

Head to head in the regional league: in total 22:12; In Belgrade 14:2.
