Mornar continue at the top after conquering Zagreb
On Saturday night, Mornar have prevailed over Cibona on the road in Zagreb and the squad, led by Mihailo Pavićević from the bench, have now beaten Cibosi in both games this season in the ABA League.

Game recap: On Saturday night, Mornar have prevailed over Cibona on the road in Zagreb and the squad, led by Mihailo Pavićević from the bench, have now beaten Cibosi in both games this season in the ABA League. For the Bar team, this is an extremely important win, since it keeps them at the top of the standings after 15 rounds, since they are one of only three teams left with only 2 defeats on their record. On the other side, Cibona will have to keep on grinding in order to escape the danger zone near the bottom of the ABA League standings, as they still hold only 3 wins in their hands, with only Zadar having won less (2).
Key moments: With a minute left on the clock in the first quarter, the teams have still been tied at 21:21. That’s when Mornar started their 14:2 run, that lasted for about four minutes and which put them far away with the score of 35:23 in the 13th minute. And Cibona did not manage to bounce back anymore after that and to make it anybody’s game.
Man of the match: Isaiah Whitehead was once again on fire for Mornar, as he has written down in his stats 12 points, 1 rebound, assist and block each and had a valuation of 16… in less than 10 minutes spent on court. He is rightfully our man of the match!
Can’t trick the stats: Mornar have had an electric shooting night, as they have been shooting 54% from beyond the arc (14/26). That’s what made their win look so easy this time.
