What a night for Crvena zvezda mts! The Belgrade powerhouse has defeated Spanish giant Real Madrid on the road in Round 19 of the EuroLeague regular season!

The red-and-whites have scored probably their biggest win in this season so far and it came after a 4th quarter drama in which the Belgrade troops managed to defend their lead in the final seconds. Quino Colom scored one out of two free throws to put Crvena zvezda mts in front 79:77, with a bit over 5 seconds left on the game clock. Real Madrid called for a time out to make a plan for their last offensive play, but Crvena zvezda mts were ready for it. Zvezda ‘s defense forced Real Madrid’s sharp shooter Jaycee Carroll to attempt a very difficult 2-point jumper which he missed and the score remained – 79:77 for Crvena zvezda mts.

Recall that Crvena zvezda mts will face another Spanish giant this week as they will play against FC Barcelona on Friday evening in Belgrade.
