Zadar, the Dalmatian town of basketball, is celebrating second consecutive Croatian National Cup trophy of their squad, as Veljko Mršić has led his team to the win over Split in the Dalmatian clash in the Final of the Croatian National Cup. This time, Zadar have repeated last season’s success, when they have also brought the cup to their trophy cupboard.

Zadar have pulled away by 5 points after the opening quarter and remained in front throughout the game. However, Split stayed close throughout the 40 minutes and managed to threaten to take Zadar’s lead away all until the final three minutes, when Zadar managed to create themselves the double-digit lead.

This was decisive in their hunt for the win, which they have finally achieved with the final score of 70:79.

For the winning side, Chinanu Onuaku was the top scorer with 16 points on his record, while he was followed by Aleksandar Bursać, who added 14. For Split, Marko Luković had 20 points and Pavle Marčinković 12.
