The World of Stats: Record-breaking week for Nemanja Gordić

With 9 points in the match against Krka, Nemanja Gordić (Mornar) has become the first player to score 3,000+ points in ABA League history. He has so far scored 3,005 points during his ABA League career.

Also, Nemanja Gordić has moved up to the 6th place on the ABA League All-Time FG2 Made list as he now has a total number of 723 two-pointers made in his ABA League career stats. Gordić surpassed Čedomir Vitkovac (719), while he needs to make 11 more two-pointers to tie with Marin Rozić (734), who is currently holding the 5th place on this list.

And that is not all! Nemanja Gordić has also tied with Nebojša Joksimović at the 5th place on the ABA League All-Time Free Throws Made list. Both Gordić and Joksimović have made 593 free-throws. Gordić is also very close to climb up to the 4th spot on this list as Marino Baždarić is just in front with 595 free-throws made.

Rok Stipčević (Krka) has moved up to the 15h place on the ABA League All-Time 3-Pointers Made list with a total number of 247 three-pointers. The next player in front of Rok Stipčević on this list is Domen Lorbek who has scored 256 three-pointers.

Uroš Luković (Mornar) has moved up to the 2nd position on the ABA League All-Time Blocks Leaders list. Luković has so far made 234 blocks during his ABA League career. The only player in front of Uroš Luković on this list is Slavko Vraneš with 272 blocks.

Filip Čović (FMP) has moved up to the 16th place on the ABA League All-Time Free Throws Made list. Čović has so far made 459 free-throws during his ABA League career, while he needs 4 more to reach Marko Tomas (463) who is currently holding the 15th place.

Damir Markota (Cibona) has improved his positions on two ABA League All-Time lists last weekend. With a total number of 593 deffensive rebounds, Markota has moved up to the 13th position on the ABA League All-Time Defensive Rebounds list as he surpassed Jure Lalić (592). Markota has also tied with Luka Žorić (768) on the 18th position of the ABA League All-Time Total Rebounds Leaders list.

Nikola Ivanović (Budućnost VOLI) made 6 assists last weekend in the match against Igokea and has therefore moved up to the 7th position on the ABA League All-Time Assists Leaders list. Ivanović has so far made 574 assists during his ABA League career. Also, Ivanović has improved his position on the ABA league All-Time Free Throws Made list as he now holds the 13th position with a total number of 470 free throws made.

Jaka Blažič (Cedevita Olimpija) made 8 free throws in the match against Krka and has therefore moved up to the 19th place on the ABA League All-Time Free Throws Made list Blažič has reached a total number of 436 free throws made, while he surpassed three players on this list – Jakov Vladović (434), Jure Močnik (431) and Bojan Krstović (429).

Speaking about the game between Cedevita Olimpija and Krka, it is interesting to mention that these two teams were almost perfect from the free-throw line – 58/60 (96,66%). That is the best FT%  for two teams combined in a single game in league history. The previous best score was held by Zagreb and Krka who were shooting 28/29 (96,55%) from the free-throw line in their match back in 2008.
