ABA League Round 22, Friday, 19 March 2021:

SPLIT – MEGA SOCCERBET

Where? Split Sports Hall, Split

When? 16:00

Story of the game: ABA League Round 22 is set to tip-off and the clash opening it will be the one between Split and Mega Soccerbet in Gripe Sports Hall.
Both teams have plenty to fight for right now in the ABA League, so the game will be exciting to watch for sure.

Split are currently just one win above the last-placed team in the standings (Borac) with their 6 wins collected so far. And for sure, winning in this game would be very welcome for the Dalmatian in their battle to avoid the danger zone near the bottom of the standings.

On the other side, Mega Soccerbet are not really in the best possible position in their battle for the Playoffs, as they have lost 7 games so far, while the other Playoffs contenders’ number of defeats range from 2 to 4 currently. Winning is a must for the Belgrade pink squad in order to stay in the competition of reaching the Top Four.

Right now, it seems like Mega Soccerbet are on a slightly better record than Split, as they have won 3 of their last 5 ABA League games and Split 1. However, both have been defeated in their last appearances in the regional competition.

The first time that the two squads have met in the ABA League, Mega Soccerbet have won convincingly, with a 16-point margin. How about this game?

Match-up in focus: The interesting match-up in focus in this game will be the one between Marko Luković on Split side and Marko Simonović on the side of Mega Soccerbet. Two tall players, that can easily score from the perimeter will battle one against another in Split Sports Hall and try to outgun the other one. While Luković has been scoring 16.2 points per game right now in the ABA League, Simonović is averaging 16.6 points per game. How will it be this time?

Head to head in the regional league: In total 0:1; In Split 0:0.
