ABA League Round 22, Saturday, 20 March 2021:

PARTIZAN NIS - MORNAR

Where? Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall, Belgrade

When? 17:00

Story of the game: In the opening game of the Saturday’s ABA League schedule, Partizan NIS will be hosting Mornar in Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall in Belgrade.

It’s a big game of two current ABA League powerhouses, which have plenty to fight for in this season, so winning is a must for both squads and they simply cannot afford to be defeated.

Partizan NIS have found themselves in the middle of the battle to avoid the danger zone near the bottom of the ABA League standings, as the last placed Borac have won last round and are now only 2 defeats short of reaching the Belgrade’s Steamroller.

On the other side, Mornar are still fighting for the ABA League Playoffs and with a 17:4 record, being defeated in this game would bring them plenty of problems, as they could fall behind other rivals, of which nobody holds more than 4 defeats in their pockets.

Taking a look at the standings and recent shape of both squads, it would appear, that Mornar’s odds are looking better than the ones of Partizan NIS. The Bar squad have won 4 games in a row recently, while Partizan NIS have lost 7 in a row.

However, all this can change on Saturday. Will the streaks continue or end in Belgrade?

Match-up in focus: Earlier in the season they used to be teammates, but now they will be fighting on opposite sides of the court. Ognjen Jaramaz meets Nemanja Gordić. Will youth or experience prevail as the two players will be battling to take their teams to the valuable wins? Ognjen Jaramaz is currently the top scorer and passer of the black and white, averaging 12.6 points and 3.2 assists per game in the regional competition. On the other side, Nemanja Gordić has been averaging 9.6 points and 4.6 assists per game. Who will come out on top? Watch the game and find out!

Head to head in the regional league: In total 5:4; In Belgrade 3:1.
