ABA League Round 18, Tuesday, 30 March 2021:

BORAC - FMP

Where? Borac Sports Hall, Čačak

When? 16:00

Story of the game: In the previously rescheduled game of the ABA League Round 18, Borac will be hosting FMP at home in their Borac Sports Hall in Čačak.

The local clash will be as exciting as ever, as both teams are playing good basketball right now and are fighting for the same goal right now, which is clearly visible by looking at the ABA League standings.

FMP have won 8 games so far this season, while Borac have won 5 and they simply need another win in order to improve their chances of escaping the danger zone near the bottom of the ABA League standings. A new triumph would be invaluable for any of the two squads.

In order to do so, Borac would need to end their winless streak, which now spans over the past two rounds in the ABA League (ignoring the attributed win over Koper Primorska in Round 23), but it’s worth mentioning that Zadar had a really tough job beating them a week ago, while Igokea are simply too strong at the moment.

On the other side, FMP have been playing well recently, as they have won 3 of their last 5 games, but they have suffered a defeat last round against Crvena zvezda mts, which has demonstrated fantastic basketball last round. They now hope to get back to the winning track again in the local encounter in Čačak.

Which of the two squads can do it? Watch the game and find out!

Match-up in focus: Bryce Jones against Filip Čović! This will be the key match-up for this game, as both squads are led on the court by excellent point guards. While Jones is currently the top scorer and passer of Borac with an average of 13.3 points and 4.5 assists made per game, Čović is leading FMP in passing, while taking the second position when it comes to scoring, with his average of 11.2 points and 6.7 assists per game in the ABA League this season.

Head to head in the regional league: in total 0:1; In Čačak 0:0.
