ABA League Round 24, Saturday, 3 April 2021:

BORAC - ZADAR

Where? Borac Sports Hall, Čačak

When? 12:00

Story of the game: In the opening game of the ABA League Round 24, Borac will be hosting Zadar at home in Borac Sports Hall in Čačak.

It’s a game that could be extremely important for both squads, depending on its outcome. Currently both Borac and Zadar are in the group of teams, that are trying to escape the 13th place at the bottom of the ABA League standings with 7 wins on their record, just like Split, Cibona and Krka.

However, currently, Zadar have played 22 games and Borac 23, as well as they have prevailed over Borac in their first mutual encounter this season, so they seem to be holding a slight advantage over the hosts in terms of their position in the standings right now.

However, Borac have been in a bit better shape lately, as they have won 3 of their last 5 games and are entering the clash following the win over FMP in previously postponed game.

On the other side, Zadar have won only one of their previous 5 games (that one was against Borac) and have lost their last clash, against strong Igokea squad.

It is clear that the team that loses this game might get into trouble with 2 rounds left in the regular season, while the winning one would breathe easier.
But only one can do it! Which one?

Match-up in focus: Much will depend on the starting point guards of both squads. Borac point guard Bryce Jones is the top scorer of his team, while Zadar point guard Dominik Mavra is the 2nd best scorer of his team in the ongoing season. Therefore, this duel is something that may definitely decide the winner in the upcoming match.

Head to head in the regional league: In total 0:1; In Čačak 0:0.
