2020/21 Top Prospect: Filip Petrušev (Mega Soccerbet)

Filip Petrušev of Mega Soccerbet has been selected the 2020/21 ABA League Top Prospect in the voting of the ABA League coaches, journalists and the basketball fans. He won the contest ahead of Roko Prkačin of Cibona and Dalibor Ilić of Igokea.

It's official - young gun Filip Petrušev of Mega Soccerbet is the best young player of the season in the ABA League, as won this title in the voting contest of the head coaches of ABA League teams, journalists and the ABA League fans.

The excellent center of the Belgrade side has finished the voting with a total of 66.5% combined votes, ahead of Roko Prkačin of Cibona, who had 28.2% and Dalibor Ilić of Igokea, who finished the voting with 1,4% of combined votes.

Let's mention that Filip Petrušev was the best in votings of head coaches of ABA League teams, journalists and the basketball fans, which makes his achievement even more impressive.

For Filip Petrušev this has been the first season in the ABA League and it has for sure been the one in which he gained full affirmation, as he became the undisputed leader of Mega Soccerbet squad. The 21-year old has been averaging 23.7 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 blocks per game. Therefore, we can conclude that he has earned himself the Top Prospect title fully deservedly!

In the traditional ABA League voting for the Ideal Starting Five of the ABA League season and the individual honours, the final results of the voting will combine the votes of the head coaches of ABA League teams (50% of the total voting results), the votes of basketball journalists from the ABA League countries (30% of the total voting results) and the votes of fans (20% of the total voting results).
