Story of the game: It all starts on Monday! Budućnost VOLI and Mornar are about to face each in the ABA League Semi-Finals that will be played in the best-of-3 format.
Budućnost VOLI will have a home-court advantage in this series and that might be a pretty big thing for the Podgorica side. Beating the blue-and-whites at their court is a very difficult thing, while that is something Mornar know pretty well as they have never defeated Budućnost VOLI on the road in the regional league. So far, these two teams have faced each other 5 times in Podgorica and the home side has triumphed in all 5 games.
Still, this is a whole new situation. All of those previous games have been played during regular seasons, while this will be the 1st time that they will be playing against each other in ABA League Playoffs/Final Tournaments.
There won't be any major surprises from any side as the teams know each other very well. After all, Budućnost VOLI and Mornar have already played 4 games against each other in this season (2 in ABA League and 2 in EuroCup) and the score is 3:1 for Mornar.
Their last match in this season was played just two weeks ago and it was one of the most exciting games of the entire season. Mornar defeated Budućnost VOLI in Bar in that game by 100:92.

Match-up in focus: We wrote about that previous game between Budućnost VOLI and Mornar from two weeks ago, but we did not say that it was marked by the sensational performance of two players. Mornar's top scorer Jacob Pullen scored 32 points in that match, while Budućnost VOLI star player Justin Cobbs finished the match with 26 points and 8 assists. Therefore, their duel will decide many things on Monday evening.
