Game recap: Spars have made their first step towards securing their 2021/22 season ABA League spot, as they have beaten Split on the road in Gripe and took the 1:0 lead in the Qualifiers series. It has been a truly exciting game, that could have gone either way, as the teams remained close throughout the 40 minutes of the clash, but in the end, Spars have been more focused and celebrated the valuable road win. They now need one more win to grab the ABA League ticket for the next season.

Key moments: With 7 minutes remaining on the game clock, Split have been up by 3 points (67:64), but then Spars came up with a 7:0 run over the next 4 minutes and turned the game completely upside-down (67:71). With a bit less than 3 minutes remaining in the game, this turned out to be crucial, as Split did not manage to come up in front again until the very end. However, It has been Orelik Gediminas, who has confirmed the win for the visiting side, as he scored a three-pointer with 41 seconds left in the game, to put his team up by 6 points (70:76).
